Hi all!

I’m pretty sure I found my stone for my new engagement ring upgrade - but would love your thoughts. I got it from Ritani and have looked at it in various light settings, plus an Ideal Scope. Price was $4,190 for a 3.8 carat F VS2. Can you all let me know if you think it’s a good stone! Can confirm it is 100% eye clean :)

It is a decent stone, but it does have at least one area of leakage under the table. I can't find a better deal than what you got, but if you're looking for a top-of-the-line cut, this probably isn't it.

Thanks so much for your input! Can you help point out where the leakage is? I used these measurements as a guide to pick it…so can you help me learn where I went wrong? Thanks!!!A590B418-AE21-4283-8BF0-7BFBD1BA0966.pngA590B418-AE21-4283-8BF0-7BFBD1BA0966.png

The proportions are actually excellent, but the proportions are just averages, and the actual cutting of this stone wasn't as precise as it could have been. The leakage is where you see the whitish/pinkish areas under the table in the Ideal-Scope images.

Do you have any pictures of the diamond in different lighting?

FWIW in the first ideal scope pic it looks like it was slightly off center. Its not easy snapping pics off when looking through one of those. The specs on that stone seem spot on though. The whitish/clear areas under the table is the leakage they are referring to I believe.

Note: I dont know anything 'expert' wise, we have amazing knowledgeable people here that actually know what they're talking about, I don't... but I will say, it looks really pretty in your video

Was just going to say this and add its so much easier to have them pick some out lol

Video looks nice. Sometimes we get so bogged down in the numbers and in all
honesty would a slightly more well cut stone actually be super noticeable to you in comparison to this one? Likely not. Enjoy your new beautiful sparkly.

Just watched the video, its a knockout

Thanks so much! For the price, size, color and being eye-clean - I feel really good about it. And you’re right / without comparing side by side with another stone, I def wouldn’t be able to tell.

The experts in here are soooo helpful! They actually did pick out some stones, but then within minutes the stones were sold (likely by another person in the group). So I had to go at it on my own and came across this deal.

I should have taken a pic of the setup I had with the ideal scope trying to get a good pic. These were the best I could do due to the camera continually refocusing :(
