http://imgur.com/aP66LwiHey everyone, I found a ring today outside at work, and was wondering if anyone has any idea on what it might be or if it would have enough value to bring in to the police station. It has 925 engraved in the ring band and looks pretty old. I will attach a picture!!

Cheers

The 925 indicates that it is sterling silver. The stone could be sodalite or low grade lapis lazuli. I don't think it is a particularly valuable ring but it looks well worn. It could be of emotional value to the owner. It would be a kindness to take it to the police or the lost and found at your workplace.

I think that regardless of the value, the right thing would be to try to find out who it belongs to. Or take it to a lost and found or something like that. But its up to you, could be maybe someone lost it a long time ago and already forgot about it.
