I have a algebra project due this Monday. I need the formula to calculate the light return for a square emerald cut diamond (5.60x5.59x3.59, depth 64.2%, Table, 61%, crown height 14.9, pavil h 46.1, girdle 1.9mm). Can someone help me with the step by step calculation to get the level of light return and dispersion for this square emerald cut diamond? (This diamond is suppose to have an average of 91% light return.) How do they figure this out? Thanks for your support and help...
P.S. Also, why does this shape have less dispersion vs a round diamond? How does the step facets effect it? Why does the square emerald cut diamond have less scintillation vs the round diamond? Details are very helpful-please! Thanks again....
