For those of you who have been to physical therapy...

@azstonie makes a good point. I don't know what kind of injury you have, but it may help to go to a group that specializes (i.e. sports injury, stroke, etc...). Pretty much all my injuries, except the broken bone, were sports related. Luckily my team had contracted with a PT group that only dealt with sports injury. The same group worked with the local pro team; the big muscular guys made for a nice atmosphere during workouts ;)2

Hey CJ, I stopped going and I set up a home regimen that worked fine. The one thing I missed was the ice massage, that was HEAVEN :lol-2::mrgreen2::D

Hi t-c, broke my leg and patella walking out to the pool for an early morning swim. GAH!

CJ my advice for what it is worth. Go with the PT center you feel more comfortable with and the one that is less crowded and noisy. But first of all make sure they are calmer the days you will be attending PT. If you can afford out of network that is my suggestion. It will be for a finite time and you want to get the most from your therapy. Listen to your gut. The PT center and therapist you choose is important and will make a difference.

Well, let's just say I can't spare the $. But what really helped me about what you said is that this is finite. And it would be a shame to spend the time and effort and not get the most benefit out of it.

Thank you missy. I have been going back and forth over this because of the extra money but you're right. And after a few sessions if I've made a mistake I can switch to the in-network one.

((((hugs))))

I can relate! I broke my foot walking off the sidewalk  I hobbled around for thinking it was a bad sprain -- something I was used to -- but when it wasn't any better on day 3, I saw my doc. Live x-ray showed a broken bone. Nothing a few weeks on crutches and cast couldn't fix.

I did have to have my ski boots adjusted; it was such a close fit that I could feel the little bump from the healed bone.
