I''m an insurance agent in the state of Virginia. Chubb used to have a push to write "standalone" jewelry policies but now like most companies they prefer to write your other business as well. For coverage on your jewelry talk to your auto carrier first. You may need to get a renter''s policy which sometimes provides a discount if your home and renter''s policies are together. The jewelry will usually be added on to that renter''s policy or could be a seperate policy but they will still require having all of your coverage in order to write the policy for you.

What''s motivating this post?

Other options exist, but, for example, State Farm will probably do a one off...just Jewelery...as a valuable articles policy.

You''ll be able to separately read here lots about Jeweler''s Mutual, and how they can uniquely help some as a specialty policy, and about Chubb...who will still help, if you spend enough, anyway ($10 K), and talk to the right guy (check out touchstone find-able through White Flash).
