I actually think that he might not care. His supporters are so entrenched in their support of him that I’m not sure there’s anything he could do to make a difference. After all, he is campaigning for a pedophile and child abuser. There really is no low.
 
I only wish I was shocked in anyway. I know he is supposed to get a reduced sentence. I am glad for our nation he is finally telling the truth.
So many lies from trump and his swamp creatures. I will be glad when this is all done with.

We need a qualified person in the white house who will represent the best of the USA . The sooner that happens , the better. It is saddening that the country elected a man who has no morals and whose only desire is glory and honor to him. Today I appreciate flynn for stepping up (even if it was self serving).

This is no longer about his base. This is about the Special Counsel investigation getting closer and closer to Trump and the possibility that there could be charges. Flynn declared that he approached the Sergei Kislyak on orders from a very senior member in the Trump Presidential transition team. There aren't a lot of people that meet that criterion.
 
It's being reported that Kushner is the "Very Senior" person. Surprise, surprise!!!

True, but my understanding is that it’s elected officials who will or will not vote to impeach, and they are unlikely to if the base support continues to be strong. They are not brave enough, or they would have been putting up more resistance before now. As a sitting president, Trump himself cannot be charged, I don’t think.

Pence and Kushner were part of the transition team. Flynn said he was instructed by the transition team to meet with Russia. Jared, Pence and Trump all knew.

If Trump is guilty of impeachable offenses, then he should be impeached, convicted, and thrown out of office. While I disagree with nearly all of Mike Pence’s positions, that’s no reason to keep Trump in office.

The left still dreaming of an impeachment "it ain't gonna happen!". don't believe me ?..ask B. Clinton. A Prez. can lie to congress and still not be impeached.

Maybe states like Alabama will still elect Republicans even if they do nothing after being presented with evidence of wrongdoing by Trump from the Special Counsel, but not in swing states and blue states. Democrats will take over the House and the Senate and they will have the cojones to impeach and convict.

There is a fly in that ointment, t-c. This is a Spiro Agnew moment again. Pence was part of the crime, so he has to go, too. I only wish that Paul Ryan was another Gerald Ford, but he isn't.

Agree. Pence could well be involved. I just didn't want to confuse the issue in my post.

Think DF is referring to the fact that the Senate acquitted Clinton of the charges lodged by the House articles of impeachment, so he wasn't removed from office.

Pence would absolutely make me happier. As a social liberal I find his backwards social views pathetic, but he isn’t near an utter embarrassment to America as Trump. Pence isn’t a black spot on American history.

And I think you meant sarcasm in your first post soxfan but I would agree with the sentiment of it were genuine.

People who are proven guilty or plead guilty should be punished. Fine by me if Pence is president, I'd imagine that would cut down on the posts in the Tweets thread. ;)2
