hello all!

I have a diamond with nice proportions; symmetry and polish are very good, and G color and vs2; GIA certified. But, the GIA certificate says it has medium fluorescence... I have read that this can be an asset.... also that it may make certain diamonds look milky! With these parameters in mind; is this diamond worth the price of a diamond that is just the same with out the fluorescence?

Also, what prongs are most common with a princess cut? The tips that are rounded or the triangular kind that clasp around each corner? And which do you all prefer?

Thanks folks!

Hi Fish,

medium fluorescence is usually negligible and has no effect on a stone. Since it looks like you have the diamond in your possession, why don't you check how it looks under bright sunlight? Then you'll decide if it has some effect.
A G with medium blue fluoresence should have no problems and could look like a solid F in sun light.

Also, V tip prongs give the best protection to the princess' corners, which need to be very well protected, otherwise they might chip.
