Hi

i'd like to know what is the difference between these two settings? I copied the link below from blue nile. I have a round 0.64 E, VVS2 and would like to see which style would make the diamond shine more and more suitable for that size since 0.64 ct is not that big. which setting is more aesthetic for the diamond of that size?

the french set is $1k more than the floating one. is it just because the french set has more small diamonds or there is reason behind the higher pricing? :read:  thank you!!

thank you Nina. based on your expertise, which setting would look good with a 0.64 carat round diamond? if you click the other pictures, there are differences of the setting. thank you :wavey:

Another poster showed one of those settings, the center stone appears to sit very high, the prongs are kind of clunky, and personally I do not like the "air-line" (this is the space between the center stone and the halo).
You might want to check with BE, SK, or VC for halo work.
Best of luck.

Hello,

I am not sure why the previous posts were removed but I suggest not doing the floating halo as it will make the center stone appear smaller. I do however like the overall design of the "floating halo" ring. I suggest contacting Blue Nile and asking them what your options are in customizing the ring.

Best of Luck

Nina :)

BlueNile doesn't customize.
