Hi everyone!

You all have such great taste - and I have no eye for this kind of stuff at all. . .

DH and I originally registered for Nambe "Aidan" flatware, but now that we have 7 settings of it, I''m thinking it is a little too simple and modern for our place settings so I want to exchange it for something different - we haven''t taken it out of the boxes yet, so it shouldn''t be a problem - but what should we get?

Please recommend a flatware to go with our place settings! They are Lenox Lace Couture:

TIA!

What about Oneida Prose? It''s what we have... and its simple but still elegant enough to go with your place settings IMO.

I second oobie''s Oneida suggestion - Oneida makes beautiful, high quality flatware.

We have a setting of 12 and all serving pieces of Oneida Easton. We love it - great feel to it and high quality stainless steel...

Those are both beautiful! It''s good to know that we should take a closer look at Oneida if you both recommend them - there are so many brands and designs that it gets hard to even start looking!

An other suggestions?

Total threadjack, but I love the picture in your avatar. You look so happy and pretty!

(I''m no use - I''m just starting to think about flatware myself.)

Awww, pjean, you can threadjack anytime!

Yep, Oneida is definitely great. Its what I had growing up, what we received for the wedding, and I don''t think I''ll ever use a different brand. Do you have any outlet shops nearby? Most outlets have an Oneida store and they do some really great sales. I think their stuff is all first quality. Half of mine is from Macy''s and half is from the outlet... can''t tell the difference.

I ''third'' the suggestion for Oneida!!

My parents have had Oneida flatware for 30 years and it has no signs of rust...just a few scratches from everyday use over 3 decades. DH and I registered for and received the Oneida Bordeaux flatware sets for our wedding. I highly recommend it! The curved, streamlined look is great with both our casual dishes and formal china!

Here''s a couple links!

You might like Dover by Oneida. I''ve had my set for years and have been very pleased with it.

We initially registered for the Bordeaux as well! Another thing I like is that the styles are all very timeless IMO.

Another Oneida fan here!
I like "Chandler" "Easton" & "Boston"

Hmmm, another stupid question from Honey! What on earth is flatware? I am assuming you are talking about cutlery sets?

The term "flatware" basically refers to your set of utensils - like forks, spoons, knives...

It's just a fancier term than "forks and spoons."

I second getting Oneida. They certainly to have a range of styles! Where did your china come from? Hopefully wherever it came from also carries Oneida so you can see it side by side first hand.

A bonus is that I bet the Oneida is less expensive than what you originally received so you can probably get more place settings than the 7 you were gifted.

I was thoroughly confused when I was searching for some new dishes. I could only find the term "dinnerware" on the websites and I was thinking "Um... Dishes?? I use this stuff for breakfast, lunch, and snacks too! Not just dinner!"

WOW! I can''t believe how many of you are recommending Oneida! I hadn''t even thought to look at theirs - I was originally looking at Lenox (because I thought there might be something that would really "match" my Lenox dishes) and then just whatever was at the store - without really paying attention to brand.

I got the dishes from BBB and Macy''s, so it shouldn''t be a problem to see them side-by-side with some Oneida flatware options - I think I''ll be dragging poor DH on errands this weekend!
