Murder committed by anyone is horrendous for the victim's family and I feel for her parents deeply.

I agree with the article that we can't afford to add more people that are not proven violent to the prison system. If the illegal immigrants commit crimes then they are sentenced per the sentencing laws. If it is a misdemeanor they might be just deported. Problem is they come right back. Even ones sentenced to prison, if they are paroled but have a proclivity for crime they are right back, just like many native born citizens.

ETA - It is a terrible thing but we have to be sure not to enact laws that are kneejerk reactions.

Heaven forbid that an illegal immigrant refugee Doctor might find a cure for some horrendous disease. It might enable other immigrants to become successful, which could steal bread out of certain millionaires' mouths.
