That orange one is just delicious. I hope these pics will help me find homes for these adorable fur babies.
Yes, I have been told that. Horrendous people. I have asked people that I know, and will call the cat rescue people if I don’t find homes. Right now, mom is guarding them closely.Did you get in touch with local rescues? They need to have vet care and be socialized in order to get a good start at life.
Be really, really careful if you decide home them yourself. Ask for references, talk to their vet, visit their home. People will take kittens to feed to snakes, use in dog fighting, and just be poor owners. I do a lot of work with rescues and it is not easy making sure they get to a good home.
Check into TNR groups in your area too. Mama doesn't need more babies! They also can often help trap kittens if needed and recommend rescues.

That is a good idea. I am going to try and socialize more with them, although mom is pretty protective of them still.@babs23r, another idea and one I've had success with in the past is contacting a rescue group and having them post the kittens or network go find them homes. They will put potential homes through the application process and contact you about potential approved homes. It helps if you have some connection to a rescue but if not most places are willing to help especially since they wouldn't need to house them.
I just heard back from one of my contacts. North Shore is still adding kittens to their list. Everyone else seems to be overflowing.
Ditto I have 4 cats and people are always like FOUR? ugh... then I explain there used to be a 4:2 cat to human ratio.![]()
Update:
I have possibly found homes for 3 out of the 5 kittens.
Question is, how do I take them? Mom is around, and they are skittish.
The people want to come by on Friday. HELP!!!!!
I can’t even handle them, mom is around. I can only pet one of them when they are eating.Don't! Sounds like they are not socialized and ready. Sending them to homes now will almost certainly lead to bad experiences and not good outcomes. People will pass off to another house and another (each time reinforcing instability) or bring them back to you or drop at the most convenient shelter. Please reach out to a rescue group (or even a rescue resources group on FB) to get help preparing them for a positive future.
Seriously. I am not trying to be dramatic or scare you. I am heavily involved in rescue and see this sort of thing go by too often. There are too many bad outcomes here (ever realize how many kittens are euthanized due to scratching a kid?) if you proceed.
Have you had them to the vet? Checked for FIV?

You are right. Will call the animal league again tomorrow. Please call the rescues I linked earlier. I think you need the pros to guide you.
These are smaller more hands on groups so I'd also give these groups a call!
