Hey guys, first time on here. Looking for advice on purchasing a diamond. My girlfriend wants a cushion cut 1.0 carat+ with a halo and a thin diamond band. First of all, is purchasing a loose diamond online and having it set locally a good/safe idea? Are there any particularly safe websites that offer the best deals that someone could provide me with?
Are there any other recommendations or suggestions that I could be educated on? I understand the 5 c's and I'm ready to pull the trigger. Perhaps someone could even point me in the direction of a beautiful diamond? Must be cushion cut. I'm not looking to spend more than $6,000 total (diamond,setting,band,etc). What price loose diamond should I be aiming at with this budget?
