First time buyer help!

Hi there,

I purchased a diamond and have yet to receive it. In the interim, I have been doing additional research and I am not feeling confident in my decision even though I thought it was initially a great pick. I worry about the proportions not being ideal, but also not sure what I am entirely looking for. I believe the depth is a little on the high side, so cut might be an overall issue. I think it looks great, but hoping for more insights.

If anyone can give some input on this diamond that would be great!

Sorry. I don't know enough about cushions to help, but I wish you luck! The experts here should be able to help.

Unfortunately, I dont think it looks promising. The area under the table looks very "mushy" and leaky. I don't think Ritani
provides aset images to check on light return.

What about it do you like? Ratio? What about it makes you think it looks great? Trying to find out what you're looking for
in a stone.

Thank you so much for the response! I too found that it looks "mushy" after reading through a bunch of threads on this site and appreciate the confirmation. I have asked Ritani for ASET images, but still waiting.

I like the ratio of the stone, as well as the brightness/whiteness. The ratio is at 1.39 which is at the max of what I would like. It appears to have a very icy look and while I don't necessarily like the "crushed ice" cut, I do like the overall color and tone of the stone. I didn't notice any "dark" or gray areas, which are things I don't like.

I have since found this one as well, but girdle thickness is giving me pause. There are more inclusions as well, but seems mushiness is less.
