The first tanzanite picture is before Mr. Homer re-cut the stone. The second is the stone after re-cut. The third one in the ring is a different stone, but also re-cut by Mr. Homer.
born2shop, what a beautiful transformation. Isn't Richard's work incredible. He just recut a sapphire for me which I posted here. I am also considering having him recut a tanzanite for me too.

Yes, Mr. Homer's work is incredible. I have 4 tanzanites that he re-cut. I don't have a picture of smaller ones which I'll eventually set into an earring.
At 30% resolution became 'normal' on the ring picture. here it is below...
Amazing what the concave facets do to color zoning (first tanz here) and bicolor gems (some ametrine on Richard's site). The first stone really went from strange to the top!
