Hello everyone! This is my first post here but I've been reading posts for a while.

I need some help picking an every day necklace. I'm picking between 2 designs and I'm not sure which diamond size to go with. I'm looking for something very dainty which I can wear taking my son to nursery or on a night out. I'm currently wearing a Maya Brenner initial necklace in YG but it spins SO MUCH that more often than not all you see is the clasp!

So I am debating between a dbty style necklace and a dbty style with two smaller bezel diamonds either side (if someone could tell me how to upload photos from my iPhone that'll really help as for some reason it's saying it's the wrong format  )

Which style would be better for everyday? What size diamonds do you think? Pricewise the max I can go to on the 3 diamond necklace is .15ct centre and two .10 either side.

Thanks for your help!

Think I've figured out how to upload images! This is the 3 diamond design.

The other design I'm considering

I think both of these will turn, just like the necklace you've been wearing. I prefer a moving pendant over a static one, because, even though the clasp moves around, the pendant is likely to stay centered while you're upright.

Of the two designs, which do you think will work better for an every day forever necklace?

IDJ works with international customers and have very competitive pricing so I wouldn't rule them out! WF also ships internationally.

I'd say the solitaire necklace is classic and timeless and let's you put most of your budget into the center diamond so maybe you could do a 25/30 pointer (not knowing the budget?), which will still look dainty as a standalone. The 3 stone is very nice but will have more presence.

Do you prefer the 3 stones bezeled? Not sure what your budget is but this one from WF would be beautiful:

IDJ would also be great to work with for this project if you want all 3 stones bezeled and are on a tighter budget. :wavey:

Unfortunately I'm based in the U.K. So I don't think those are options for me

Why not? I've purchased from Whiteflash from the UK and it was all very simple, delivery was super fast. As long as you factor in about 20% extra for customs it can often still be cheaper than buying locally and I can pretty much guarantee the diamond quality will be better!

PS have you had a look at Blue Nile? They have several pretty pendants/necklaces with diamonds that are under £1000. Might get more bling for your buck compared with the Tiffany option!

i like both designs, but i'm a minimalist so i'd choose the single diamond. also, the single diamond one has less metal overall, so the diamond really takes the center stage. plus you can probably go a bit larger with the single than with the triple and stay in budget.

I'm starting to think my budget is too small! What I know is: I want a diamond which sparkles, a bezel setting and RG. I was thinking of going with a US seller on etsy but I'm nervous about unknown custom charges. Now I would love a dbty from T&co (& there's no worry about customs charges) but I think I might be priced out there too! I can't spend more than £350-£400

hmm - the settings can be quite pricey if you do a build your own (whiteflash, brian gavin, etc), so maybe something that is already pre-set would be best here.

a quick google shopping search brought these up, all in your price range (i don't have experience with either etsy seller, but i have bought other things from overstock before and they were fine - plus you can get a 10% off coupon for first purchase, it looks like):

or, you could wait and save up for something from one of the usual pricescope recommended sellers, as well.

ah, just saw that you're worried about customs fees and all that - there must be some way to look that up so you can factor it in?

How about this? A J or K stone would be lovely in the rose gold.

Oh my gosh I didn't know that site existed!! Can't wait to play around with it!

I'm very new to diamonds so I don't know much about specs but in a small diamond like this is the most important C the Cut?

Have fun!

Yes, the cut will determine how sparkly the stone is.
