Hello all, I've spent the past few weeks reading here and now have a vague idea of what I want and need a little advice. Subject to what's available I will be looking for a RB .6-.8 stone. I tried on a Tiffany setting yesterday which I did like but my first impression was it was quite pronounced as far as the knife edge goes, however I think I would get used to it, I definitely want a 6 prong solitaire. As the stone will be somewhat small I liked how the Tiffany setting made it the focus so I really feel a knife edge is a good setting choice, I also tried their harmony to see how a 'flatter' one would look but didn't like it at all. The Brian Gavin knife edge is the one I like the most after looking again and again at all the replicas, as it is the thinnest band and simply appeals to me the most, however it may eat into the diamond budget too much, especially as I am buying from Australia and we have a poor exchange rate and I have to pay an extra tax once it arrives. I'm looking at the James Allen presentation setting as it is a bit of a knife edge too however am not sure if it is too boring and low. Does anyone have any hand pics or has anyone seen it in real life? I have a picky nature however being overseas returns won't be easy so I am looking for all the information I can get. There is one hand pic on their website but it isn't overly helpful due to the angle/larger stone.
