Ok..I have a first pick for a diamond....here it is:
Shape: BR
Color Grade: F
Clarity Grade: VS2
Weight: 0.808
Meas: 5.98 - 5.99 x 3.71 mm
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 55%
Firdle 1.3 - 1.7
Culet: PT
Crown Angle: 34.800
Pavilion Angle: 40.800
Polish: Idean
Symmetry Ideal
Fluorescence: N
Cert: AGS
The price (online) is $3880

So it appears to me, being a novice, that this should be an excelent diamond for the engagement ring...however what do you think? And should I call them to inquire about more information/have it sent out to be appraised?

Thanks in Advance,

Joseph

I'd say it's definitely a BEAUTIFUL stone, however, I have no idea if the price is right...our resident experts will have to chime in for me there.

Looks like a fair price for your requirements (did a search by cut quality). My thoughts,
pick another 1-2 stones that interest you from the vendor (DI?)
have them pull the stones and compare them while you are on the phone
Make your choice and have it sent to a local appraiser
