Hi! I have been looking for a diamond pendant and recently purchased the below 0.6 ct diamond from whiteflash.

However, I am now considering purchasing a slightly larger stone (0.7 ct) instead.

Do you think it is worth getting one of the below diamonds instead of the 0.6 ct diamond? Is it possible to judge from videos which one will have more fire and brilliance?

As I am based in Europe, I cannot see the stones in person.

Thanks in advance!

Offhand, you have great choices. The WF 0.7 has a crown angle of 15.5 which might give a little more fire? But experts will know more.

Remember that a pendant does not move as much as a ring, nor do people get super close to it. So it likely won’t catch as much fire as a ring, but you can also go down in clarity as @lovedogs mentioned.

A well selected SI1 will do nicely as a pendant (I can’t see the inclusions in my SI1 ring). Good luck!

Thanks for your reply and advice @lovedogs @0515vision.

Initially I wanted VS1/VS2 clarity for up to 2000 usd. The E/VS2 was priced similarly to other diamonds I was considering, with a first purchase discount. Hence why I went with it.

I think it’s a valid point that I could go down in clarity and colour. This would help me to either save some money or get the bigger stone linked above.

I need to have a look at the WF website again.

Hi @Magdalena130980

I recently has a bezel set diamond made from James Allen. Not a White Flash beauty, but I wanted the pendant icy white. I picked an E, SI1 .59 that was eye-clean and I do not regret it. I need a loupe to find the white inclusions. Not sure if this helps, but this is what it looks like, small but icy. For comparison, the studs are G-H. 1000004332.jpg 1000004336.jpg 1000004296.jpg 1000004335.jpg

I love the set and it looks lovely on you. Thanks for sharing!

Do you see a difference in colour when you compare your earrings with the pendant side by side?

No ma'am, not a bit of difference on scrutiny. If I could see the stones on the sides, I might possibly see a difference in theory. However, a well cut round diamond in the top of the range will just reflect light back and appear white.

I have Brian Gavin J studs if you want to see side by side?

For a pendant I think your setting choice will have a bigger impact in visual presence than an extra 0.2mm! I would probably drop to H/I color and certainly SI1 clarity (who is going to examine the diamond on your neck at 12 inches??) and I would put it in an double bezel with white inner bezel and yellow outer (or both white). That would give the look of a 1.25 ct probably!

If you want a more delicate look could do single bezel.
