First Diamond Purchase - Engagement

Hi Guys,

I am making my first diamond purchase and I would like your opinions on the diamond below. As previously discussed, due to the holiday season JA is not providing Idealscope or ASET, so it does make me a little hesitant. Customer support did state that this diamond would be eye clean. Thanks

Is that your budget for the diamond only or for the diamond and setting?

What kind of setting does your intended want?

That is my budget for the diamond only. The setting is twisted petite pronged with a single solitaire.

Ok. If you can't get IS or ASET images, that diamond has great proportions and I think it will be a great option. I think you picked a nice one. I did a quick search and there isn't anything much larger within your budget in the specs you posted. If you're set on James Allen, I say go for it.

Beautiful stone. JA has "suspended" their ASETs and Idealscopes till the 1st. Which is crappy. I think it's a conservative enough stone you can go without though, as you have no choice, if you are set on it. Otherwise, I recommend working with another vendor like Wink at HPD who will call in stones for you and give you an idealscope.
