First Day of Autumn! The day to balance an egg on it's end!

Today's the Autumnul Equinox! The day you can take a raw egg and stand it up on it's end! Will you try it out today? (I had never heard of doing so until today)

On a side note, it's also Thanksgiving/ Moon/ Harvest Day other countries around the world. For me, today's the first day of Fall... I can totally smell fall in the air but have been told that's just crazy talk! But I do heart the smell of apple cider and the smell of crisp fall breeze. I'm going to try the egg myth as soon as I get home from work btw...

According to NASA - autumn doesn't come until 11:09 tonight, so tomorrow is actually the first day of fall and today the last full day of summer.

However I have balanced an egg in years past!

I had never heard of this before!! I tried a practice run last night about 8pm for about 20 minutes and could not do it (and had an egg casualty). This morning I thought I would give it a try since it's officially fall and within a few seconds it balanced!! That was so cool!!

Congrats! We do this every year - spring and fall! Now balance it on its smaller end, thats hard!

Ooooh the smaller end!! I will definitely be trying that when I get home! Is it every equinox within the year or just specific ones?
