Marty Haske unveiled his new toy. Should revolutionize the way AGS grades cut in the future. Saw this on diamondtalk.com

When we will see this system?

I am guessing it will be unveiled at the Vegas show in a few weeks. I spoke with Richard about another issue yesterday but forgot to ask about it.

I haven't seen any indication that the AGS intends to use this for cut grading. Anyone else?

It's all related.

AGS call their new method a FireGram.

I think you might find they are using OctoNus DiamCalc software more than 8* approaches.

The AGS images I have seen, the diamond is all dark and only the fire speckles can be seen.

Is it like the GCAL brilliance plot then?

It's all related to what? Your link refers to fancies and makes no sustantive mention of how AGS is going to use whatever it is that eightstar has to offer.

Weird.

I see how 8* stresses the importance of fire with this new system. Very important, indeed.

But I do not see the correlation with AGS's research and their upcoming new grading system. This is based on brilliance, fire, contrast and scintillation.
