Finished project, Paraiba/Tourmaline and Opal stackers...

A fem months back I posted some pictures of some Paraiba cabochons, since then I got one more PTC and a couple Australian Opals. I had them set in w/g and r/g by the wonderful duo, Daniel M. and Caren. It's my girlfriends birthday today, so I gave them to her and she loves them...as do I.

Just wanted to share some pictures and the update with you fine folks.

They're a great color combination - in fact, its almost hard to tell from the photo which is the tourmaline. They are really lovely. Its great that you had them made for her and I bet you spend almost as much time admiring the rings on her hand as she does!

Fabulous stackers; they compliment each other nicely. I don't know that I've seen opal in a stacker before; it works really well. I wish I weren't afraid of soft stones for rings, else I'd copy the opal stack idea!

The Opals combined cost was 50 usd... At that cost if they get damaged it's no big deal, a have a few more. They are well protected though in their bezels, and both have a low dome that's almost flush with the bezel. Time will tell...

Fantastic set, not just in combination but individually as well. I don't know who wouldn't be over the moon with such gifts.

I don't know if you purposely chose them, but after seeing them in the different lighting, I realize its the perfect combination because the opals make the rings alive with color in bright light, and the Paraiba(s) are even more alive in low light. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they really look good in all lighting. I think you've just started a new trend!
