I am looking for advice on 2 aspects of Princess Diamond buying.
(1) What specs work best and how do I properly evaluate each stone on paper?
I'm looking for a 1.30 - 1.50 ct. rock of F or G color, VVS2 - VS2, w/ a great cut. It's the cut part I have trouble evaluating. Most rocks list their table and depth %, girth, and culet - but do not mention crown height %. It seems to me that crown height is an important measurement. No? And if the table is a few % on the big side (say 74% instead of 70%) how much sparkle is lost? I know this is a big deal w/ rounds but I am not sure how much it will affect a princess.
(2) Also, if any of you have found settings that work particularly well w/ a princess cut I'd love to hear about them or see pictures. I am set on platinum, but am wide open to suggestions on the other aspects of the setting.
THANKS!
