Finding Certified US Jewelers

I have been looking to buy some jewelry (leaning towards a necklace or ring) for my upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. I have always stayed away from buying my wife jewelry simply because I don't if I am getting a quality product. I live near Indianapolis, IN and was hoping to find a reliable jewelry store near me. I looked for a very long time and couldn't find any list of certified jewelry stores, until I found AGS. The American Gem Society had a great list of certified US Jewelers and Jewelry stores. I found a great store near Indy and the staff was great. My wife enjoyed the necklace and I felt confident about my purchase.
