Hello all, I''ve visited the forum before when shopping for a ring, but I want to ask for some help finding some stud earrings for my wife. I looked yesterday at some jewelry stores locally but really feel like I''d get a better deal online. I was originally aiming at .5 carat in size but most of what I saw pretty small so I''m leaning towards going a little larger. I''ve looked online but I really don''t know enough to make a decision form what I''ve looked at. Should I buy a premade set or pick out the individual stones? I''m looking to spend AT THE MOST $1000 bucks. This will be combination Christmas and Anniversary(Jan 1st) but prefer to have it here before Christmas but not absolutely necessary. I''m going back out shortly to at least get a better idea on sizes and price but would love any suggestions you guys could find for me. Thanks

Is 0.5c total carat weight or individual stones? 1k will be difficult for individual stones.

That was total weight, sorry. And, oh yeah, meant to say round stones in white gold. I''m not extremely picky but want them to look good of course. I know the .5 tcw I looked at looked pretty small to me but I know my budget isn''t allowing for much more.

What a great husband!

I'm sure she'll love them.

Not sure which type of setting you are looking for (backet, martini, bezel...) but here are some options from Whiteflash you might like. In white gold, I think with the pricescope discount the .75 ctw would be right around your budget, and the .5 ctw will be well under. I am pretty sure Whiteflash keeps all these in stock and can get these to you ASAP. I've worked with Sheera at Whiteflash and she's great.

You could also call Lesley at Brian Gavin diamonds, but they may take a little longer (I'm not sure if they have any ready to go in stock or if they only make them to order...)

Edited to add: Ooohhh, I just noticed the links only take you to the platinum listing. You can go directly to Whiteflash.com and search in earrings to see the white gold prices....

I''ve been going through a lot of posts on PS helping me make my decisions but still haven''t completely decided on exactly what I want. It does seem to me that a lot of the studs I see in pics on here look a little bigger that those compared to what I saw in the store, or at least seem to be. Is this mostly due to the fact that most of the vendors on here are giving superior cuts for the weights? I''m certainly not ruling anyone out, but I''m thinking of giving a call to Brian Gavin based on some of the threads I''ve read. One other thing I''m undecided on is the setting. I really was planning on getting the standard 4 post but am also considering the 3 post martini but wasn''t sure if there is much of a price difference.

Yep, call Leslie at BGD she will help with the diamonds and setting.
