I am not an expert either but I think ChooChoo might be splitting hairs on this one.
This stone is definately an ideal cut so if the price is right, and if you love it, buy it.

I think if you love it, then that''s all that matters. The numbers are close to a 60/60 diamond and I have seen many that are awesome. Trust your eyes. Good luck!!!

I could definitely be wrong, but I thought a 58 table is just out of ideal range?

I''m no expert but it rated all excellents on the HCA. Your spread is a bit bigger than my .92 RB that''s on its way so it''s going to face up bigger which is always a plus

If you love it, I think go for it. I''m sure it''s going to be a beautiful stone.
Have you price compared it to others on the net? I got a great deal on an SI2 G .926 stone that they say isn''t completely ''eye clean'' (although Wink had to Loupe it to find the exact spot of the white inclusion) but it''s being covered by a prong so my Infinity cut H&A costs around $3400. I''ve seen many in that size range going for 3900-5000 depending on color, clarity, and if it''s ideal or not.

Used to... relative to the old AGS ideal set. Some months ago they''ve changed and now there are AGS0 with 60% tables at most.


Looking at the revisions and competing versions of top cut grades for RBC between the handful of labs that do some... anything can be ''ideal''. In consequence... ''gave up on them long ago in favor of the naked metrics (HCA, and DiamCalc). I''d bet that in a year or so - what''s Ideal today ... will change status again in yet another war of paper

This is one Id want to see in person before making a decision.
Look at it close in flourecent type lighting.
About 1/2 arms distance away.
Look at it under as many lighting conditions as possible.

I just edited my original post. After all the posts about 60/60, I realized that I must have put something in wrong, because I didn''t think it was a 60/60. The table was not correct. Sorry about that! It''s correct now
