I bought the diamond separately from Union Diamond (it was a virtual diamond but Union Diamond had the best price and the speediest service, so I went with them).

The ring was custom made by a top Australian jeweller by the name of Jason Ree in Sydney. The design was something I came up after piecing together a number of things I liked (and my girlfriend has directly or indirectly indicated that she liked) from the settings I''ve seen over the last few months and plus discussions with Jason about what would be feasible and what would look good. I wanted something that was timeless and elegant and not too complicated but not too simple or similar to what everyone else has.

The design this ring probably resembles most is a design I saw in Fairfax & Roberts in Sydney. That was the one I got the idea of the triangular design in the setting from.
