Yah, I finally have my e-ring back in my possession FOR GOOD
36.gif
As some of you may know, I got engaged back in April. Unfortunately, even when you’re a part of the entire process you can still get things wrong
38.gif
Barry at Excel Diamonds made my e-ring exactly as I had requested, but in the end I wasn’t 100% happy. Barry was very understanding about this and assured me he would tweak my ring and resize it to my satisfaction (apparently I also sucked at picking the right size) so my sister and I took a trip to NYC and returned the ring to him in May. Well, I’ll tell you it wasn’t the quickest process – it took two months to get my ring back( I just got it back last Saturday), but it sure was worth the wait. My e-ring’s exactly what I wanted. I love it so much and I can’t help staring at
9.gif
. As an aside, FI and I were so impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of Barry’s work that we had him make our bands too. Needless to say, we love them.

Having been a former long-time lurker it’s fair to say I learned a lot from so many of you during our search for the perfect diamond and setting (for us). But, I would like to say a special thank you to Mrssalvo, kcoursolle, coatimundi, jack, dmus, dreamer_dachsie, and deelight for providing feedback and suggestions during the process.

Unfortunately, I AM one of those PSers that does not own a digital camera. So for now, I’ve only got crappy camera phone pictures to share. I hope you enjoy them nonetheless. Sadly, these pictures don’t do my little firecracker justice

Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement along the way. When I was filling like an idiot for not getting the ring right the first time, you were there to cheer me up and reassure me that I deserved to get what I wanted. You're an awesome, generous spirit. Again, thank you for everything

I promise I'll try to get my hands on a digital camera within the next week. Haha - you know me so well! I so have a hard time putting my ring away at night and I'm so delicate with my left hand you'd swear that something was wrong with it - it's really quite ridiculous to watch - lol! Thanks again for your help in the decision-making process - I really appreciated it

We haven''t decided on a date yet, but it''ll be sometime in April or May 2009 in the Dominican Republic. There''s a bit of drama surrounding that … my sister''s BF of 5 (maybe 6?) years is an accountant and will not be able to attend if FI and I get married in April. However, May is the beginning of the rain season and we don''t want to risk it for the other guests. I''m pretty sure we''re going to go with April 2009, but it just feels yucky not accommodating him, you know? I’m kinda avoiding having to confirm a date because I know my sister’s going to be upset. But, at the same time, her BF is not willing to even ask for the time off, which pisses me off because obviously he doesn’t care enough to be there to even ask for vacation time so why should we chance our other guests’ vacation just for him. Obviously, where weather is concerned nothing is guaranteed, but it just seems irresponsible to go against the odds. Do you know what I mean? Plus, I’m not exactly thrilled about getting married in the same month as both of birthdays and Mother’s Day. Silly, I know, but can’t we share the special occasion love? Thanks for asking – I appreciate it

Marcy - thank you very much

Your rings are just perfect! You chose classic styling in the "less really is more" category, a totally classy size, and D-blindingly white color -- and the results are simply stunning!

Well, it''s clear that your diamond is stunning in spite of the slightly blurry fixed. So glad to hear it''s finally perfect. congrats, and enjoy!

Pocahontas, I am happy to hear that you finally got your ring back! You took some amazing shots with your camera phone - I can only imagine the fabulous pictures you will take when you get a digital camera!! The some more fire picture you posted just blew me away! I have been trying to capture those rays on my diamond for several months now, and you get them in all their glory with a camera phone! I look forward to many more pictures of your gorgeous ring.

Wowzies! If it looks that good with a camera phone, I can''t imagine how fabulous that beauty would look in real life! Very modern and classic at the same time. Lovely trio!

Ilove, Venice and Pixley, you ladies sure know how to make a girl feel special

I really appreciate your very kind and generous comments
