Finally it is ready, my double halo yellow diamond ring

I had posted at the Color-stones forum before about my yellow diamond ring around Christmas time.

However, I wasn't happy with the quality of the setting (uneven diamond pave, huge airline between the halo and the center stone, the spilt shank isn't wide enough). I can only think of one word when I see the ring.... "SLOOPY".... I returned it to the jeweler to have it reset. Finally, after another 5 months (don't know why it took so long), it is finally done. So I think it may be a good idea to share it with the fellow PSers.

The center stone is a 1.25 ct fancy yellow diamond, VS1 with GIA cert....

Are you happier now with it than you were the first time? I'd be thrilled to sport that little sparkler around all day! Are your work people still teasing you it's too blingy??

I am not too worried about the size now... Coz there is another colleage wearing at 2+ ct diamond ring to work... hee hee... I will wear this yellow little friend to work on Monday.

Hahaha... My ring is a total copy of the Soleste... Can't afford the one from Tiffany, so I have the jeweler made a similar one.

I am quite please with the ring. The center some looks more yellow after it is being set. But it is such a delicate ring, I am worried that I will lose the little diamonds if I wear it too often.

The ring is stunning. I love love love the double halo! If done well, you shouldn't have any trouble with the melee diamonds, but take it to a jeweler and get it checked from time to time.
