need opinions on stones. I saw this one and loved how the photo''s look. I''m replacing a tanzanite center stone which is a little less than 7mm round. Still need to check with the jeweler on the minimum mm size my current setting can fit. In a prefect world I would spend under 5,500. Priority is cut. Minimum J color, and SI1 clarity.

Thanks for your help.

The first stone and this one both have potential, do you know if this diamond is eyeclean? Can you get images such as Idealscope?

Both stone''s have photo''s and appear eye clean. Thank you for your help.

Comparing them both, any one better than the other?

link or images? If link, put them on hold first.

Here are the links to both stones:

They are both great diamonds but different types of cut, the first is a traditional h&a, the second is what Jon calls his ' modified h&a'. These typically have a higher lower girdle facet percentage, leading to clefts in the hearts and thinner looking arrows. The performance can be slightly different too with a sharper thinner flash of light seen when the stone sparkles compared to the other types of h&a. This isn't something thats really obvious but a performance nuance that can be noticed with direct comparison or if you know what to look for. It depends on which type you prefer, the best thing might be to ask Jon at GOG to do a comparison video for you of this diamond with one of his traditional h&a diamonds to see which you like best.

With the WF diamond make sure it is eyeclean to your standards before proceeding.
