Finally got my diamond hoop earrings

I started a thread about a pair of 1.54ctw diamond hoop earrings a while ago, and here''s the link to the thread. Well when I went in to get them, my jeweler had sold it and had to make me new one. She called me a couple weeks ago that it was ready, and I finally got them this week. She also gave me an additional $80 off because she didn''t tell me that she sold the pair that I want, which I thought was very nice since I didn''t tell her to hold them for me. So I ended up paying $1100 for these. What do you think? The 1.54ctw diamonds are ~1-2 pointers, g-h and vs2. It''s 14kt white gold, and 1 3/4" in diameter.

No I didn''t post her info. I am sure she can make them smaller. In fact she brought a bunch of different size hoops with different ct. wt. for me to try on, and I think one of them were 1" with milgrain and bigger diamonds (I don''t know the ct. wt. but I know they were bigger because they are thicker in width). She is based in L.A., but she does the International Gem & Jewelry Show so she is constantly on the road all over the U.S. Her name is Sherry and her store is called Artistic Fine Jewelry, and I think she is starting a website: www.artisticjewelry.com (there''s nothing on there yet, but there is an email address). There''s a gem show on June 9 at San Mateo, she might be there so you can check her out. I know she gave me special pricing (she kind of mentioned that the price won''t be as low for someone else), but I think her regular pricing is reasonable. It''s worth getting a quote.

not likely!!

one pointers and two pointers are essentially .01 and .02 of a carat. so they are melee, tiny diamonds.

Mara - how does the WF solitaire bangle look like? I am very curious. My MIL got me bangle with diamonds for our wedding, but I haven''t worn it since the wedding. I kept forgetting that I have it. hehehe

zhuzhu - I guess I can wear it to work if I really want to. I work in the lab, so I just avoid anything that dangle (I don''t even wear my rings to work since I work with my hands so much). Also I am the new employee and the youngest, so I don''t want to be too trendy.

qt... here is the bangle on my hand .... i just loved it. the online picture didn't impress me at all and i had kind of forgotten they had it, but when they pulled it out

...and it looks even cuter on. it's very simple. i was kind of thinking of maybe getting a very thin line tennis bracelet at some point, aka a 2ctw or something but now i am thinking that this bangle may be even better, it's very modern but classic in a way too!
