Finally managed to get off the island and take the ring my partner gave me that belonged to his mother to my jeweller to have it cleaned, polished and resized to fit my finger. And oh my goodness what a difference it makes. It looks soooo much brighter and sparkles like mad! And the diamond looks nice and chunky! I'm so happy that I decided to get this done to wear as it's a lovely ring!

My 1.09 carat diamond that I will treasure!

Please excuse the pictures I used my camera phone .
It's so hard to get a decent picture!

It looks very pretty on you!

It’s gorgeous!!!

I hope your pictures are seen by many who wish a 'knife edge' setting - most are barely edgy these days.

The diamond does appear to have a heavy crown & this is what everyoone wants from the older brilliants (and perhaps the modern too, although variations are not tolerated much!)

Yes, I quite like the heavy crown, it looks like its spilling out of the setting lol. What do you mean by an knife edge setting?? Sorry I'm useless at these sort of things. X

@Vonniexx It is just lingo; ring bands that are much less wide (ending in a narrow edge on top) than thick, are called 'knife edge' (compared to a knife edge is much narrower than the width of the blade.)

Very beautiful!! It's amazing what a good cleaning will do!

So pretty and classic!
