Here is my ring. He proposed at Mt Rushmore in South Dakota while we were on vacation October 12. I love my ring. It came from ANGLO International in Clive, Iowa.

Platinum
Center diamond is GIA .73 carat
Band has .67 carats of baguettes
1.4 TCW

I''ve been looking at rings on here since July. There are so many beautiful ones out there. I have been having problems posting, so I hope this works.

Any suggestions on what kind of wedding band will go with this? Our saleslady suggested a partial eternity band with rounds.

A second view of my ring.

Third view of ring. There are 10 baguettes in the band. Open Scroll work cut out underneath. We had the mounting that held the center diamond changed out so the diamond set up higher. It originally sat down lower into the setting.

Congrats!!!! I think a round/baguette band like this one would look really good with your ring: band

Congratulations! Beautiful ring - you must be so excited.

You should go for a band with baguettes.

Congrats on your engagement!! What a beautiful ring! It looks great on your finger!! I say try as many different wedding bands as you can. You never know which style you''re gonna love with your engagement ring!

CONGRATS

I really like the band that was posted with the baguettes and rounds. That is pretty!! I always thought I had to match the wedding band to the engagement ring, but it doesn''t seem to be that way any more. I also thought they needed to be soldered together. I notice that very few people have them joined any more. That makes it much easier for me to choose a wedding band.

This particular ring does not come with a band, so it''s totally up to me. I love that. I liked a band I tried on at ANGLO that was all rounds, but I need to see what else is out there that I might like better. It was suggested that I could just get a plain band too, but I am spoiled--I want some bling. LOL They said they could order me or make me whatever I want. Can''t wait to go wedding band shopping now!

This is my 2nd and last marriage!! I want to make sure I get what I want this time. My first marriage, we went to one store and bought from what was there and what we could afford. This time my fiance and I went shopping at 14 stores. We wanted to see as many options as possible. It almost made it harder to choose.

I was going to post a picture of a baguette channel set wedding band in platinum but a warning came up and said I couldn''t post something that points outside pricescope. any suggestions?

Congratulations! Beautiful ring!

Have you tried adding a link? I don't think it has to be matchy but do personally like them to compliment each other. Your ring is very pretty and anything would go well with it. Good luck with your search!!!

Congrats! The scrollwork is lovely!!

Congratulations! Your ring is beautiful!

Let me try it this way. I have not seen any like this in person only online or in flyers.

I thought this would match the baguettes in my ring. I don''t necessarily want them to go all the way around. I think it would be nice if they stop where they do on my band. Baguettes don''t sparkle like rounds do, so my salesgal said that I might want rounds. I tried the rounds and they sure do sparkle. I jus wonder if they will take away from the sparkle of my center diamond??

Does anyone have one like this? Have opinions on the sparkle? favor one over the other?

thanks!

I pulled out my GIA paperwork for my diamond so i could give even more details:

Carat Weight 0.73 carat
Color grade I
Clarity I1
Cut Grade Very Good

Polish Good
Symmetry Very Good

Round Brilliant
Measurements 5.63-5.69x3.63

Platinum 10 baguettes weighing .67 carats --total finished weight of ring is 8.37 grams

Most of this means nothing to me! LOL

Congrats!!

My ring is similar with a .76 round on a band with emerald cut bagguetts. for my wedding band I did smaller rounds and i love the contrast!

Congratulations. Very pretty ring.

Sounds pretty Sarahbear. Can you share a picture?
