The love of my life and I finally tied the knot two weeks ago! We eloped to the Big Island of Hawaii after the pandemic cancelled not one but TWO wedding plans in 2020- the original one was at the Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island and the second one was at a ranch in Carmel Valley, closer to our home in the San Francisco Bay Area. While we had hoped to be surrounded by friends and family when we said "I do," we finally realized that it wouldn't be until 2022 when we could pull off a real party with dancing and more. So instead we elected to have ourselves a lovely, intimate sunset ceremony for two on Kukio Beach and a private dinner next door at the Four Seasons (which just finished an incredible renovation by the way!) We will have a proper reception with loved ones in 2022 but at least we got to do this for US right now. We are over the moon to have deepened our commitment to each other, especially after such a difficult year.
Once again, High Performance Diamonds hit it out of the park with my new diamond and platinum wedding jewelry! They created a custom eternity band (1.90 ct with 19 x 10 pointer E/F color HPD luxe diamonds) to pair perfectly with my beloved 2.23 E VS2 CBI engagement ring, which is a Mark Morrell custom Extreme Petite Torchiere solitaire setting. HPD also custom cast a 1mm spacer band that is disc-shaped to keep the eternity diamonds from damaging my engagement ring. And finally, my DH presented me a gorgeous 1.26 H SI1 CBI solitaire pendant on a 1.5mm platinum cable chain as a wedding gift to replace my previous .83 ct F VS2 round solitaire pendant. Some of you might recall I took that .83 ct F VS2 diamond and had HPD make a cluster pendant for me last year in preparation to wear with my wedding dress (see last two photos). While I prefer colorless diamonds, I am such a massive fan of the CBI's cut performance that I was completely willing to go lower on clarity and color to get a larger CBI for my pendant. This is my first H and I can barely tell the difference from my E color e-ring when the stones are face up. Thank you @Layla and @Wink for making so many shiny dreams come true for me this past year and a half!
