Hi all,

I created a previous topics and compared a few stones and was ultimately recommended this one. It''s a H&A round brilliant that achieves a score of "1" on the HCA. It scores a 5-star on whiteflash and is AGS0. My main concerns are the cloud inclusions, which don''t seem too large but are abundant. If it is confirmed to be eye-clean, how will this affect other aspects of brillance and fire? Should I be really concerned about these inclusions? Here is a link to the actual diamond: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1848225.htm#

Sorry, I would have attached the cert but they are too large and I do not know how to resize. Here is a 40x image of the diamond:

If WF say it is ok and that the inclusions aren't affecting it ( see if Bob can take a look at it) then you should be fine.

Thanks Lorelei, a representative at WF confirmed that the stone is both eye-clean from both the top and the sides. I agreed to take it and will get it appraised once it comes in. What should I expect out of the appraisal?

I should say that I just got a great GIA ex/ex/ex from WF and was really impressed. Bob told me that it was confirmed to be eye clean and that it was a great performer... not only was he right, but it blew us away. I can find the crystal inclusion on my diamond with a 10x loupe, but it is definitely eye clean. The feather is really hard to see... I can find it about 1 out of 5 or 6 times with the 10x loupe.

As far as cloud inclusions go, I was told that they are one of the best inclusions to have when it comes to a diamond being eye-clean.

If you are buying a WF ACA, I can only imagine that it will be that much more beautiful. If the cloud inclusions were a problem for light performance, I don''t think it would have been graded as an AGS0, because AGS grades light performance for its ideal ''0'' rating and WF wouldn''t have chosen it as an ACA stone. Also, if there was going to a problem with the visibility of the inclusions, I''m also sure that they would have told you so.

My experience so far with WF has proved them to be a trustworthy and knowledgeable vendor.

Thanks for the reassurance Justin, and congrats on finding one that you love. I just hope that I will feel the same way too. Do you mind me asking what clarity grade your diamond is?

My diamond is an SI1. Here is a link to my thread: Link My diamond has noticeable flaws in the 40x image and yours doesn''t. Mine is still eye clean, so I can only imagine that yours will be too. Yours is a larger stone, but not so much larger that the 40x doesn''t represent what you can expect for eye-cleanliness. The flaw that I am actually able to find is the crystal that you can see in the IS image, but not really in the 40x. Also, if WF has reassured you that the diamond is eye-clean, you are good to go. Make sure you read WF''s definition of eye-clean off their website though.

Oh yeah. For the part that really matters, my girlfriend thought the diamond was the most beautiful that she has ever seen and we have looked at top-cut stones in chain stores like Jared''s. I think you can rest assured that the diamond you are looking at will be a stunner.

It looks like real beauty.

WOW, your diamond looks amazing!! Beautiful shots also, I look forward to seeing yours come back with the setting. I will post some pictures/reviews when mine arrives, although I don''t have a fancy camera

Thanks to the entire PS community thus far, I can''t believe the amount of knowledge I absorbed in such a short time. In addition, it has brought a lot of excitement in the buying process rather than anxiety and nervousness.

Looks fantastic - I agree w/ Lorelei, no major concerns given the positive comments from WF
