I am about to pull the trigger on the Victor Canera Bliss Emilya Halo.
When I previously posted 3 lab cushion choices, the vast majority vote was for the 2.17ct H&A sourced by Victor Canera .

I would like your honest thoughts on how this 1.77ct H&A compares (beyond the fact it is smaller)?
I was originally looking for a stone between 1.5-2, so the size is still great.
The 1.77 is a significant $1,700 lower in price. So forgetting the carat size, are they equally beautiful or
does the 2.17 blow it away? Do you see any issues with the 1.77 (I see the girdle is medium - very thick)?
Yes, I would like to use the extra $1,700 to pay for the wedding band. However, if the group consensus
is still the 2.17 I will go with that.

2.17ct IGI F-VS1 H&A cushion @ $3,800

1.77ct IGI E-VS1 H&A cushion @2,100

We'll see what others say, but I think the 1.77 looks great. With the HPHT, you will not have clarity issues, it should be beautiful. Very happy she is getting such a fantastic ring!

I agree. I like the higher color and HPHT of the 1.77.

Given the price difference I would go with the 1.77 too. The size difference isn’t going to be that visible, especially in a halo.

if it were me I would get the 2.17 because there will be a large size difference going from 7mm to 7.6mm. My diamond is 7mm and I see a huge difference. You don't want to wish later on that you had gone with the larger size. I would rather put my money into the main diamond and get a plain wedding band now and a diamond one down the road for an anniversary.

It sure is fun to say you’re sporting a 2+ carat! I’m color sensitive, so I’d rather the higher color even though a smidge smaller….

Go to DiamDB.com and compare both to get a rough idea of finger coverage.

Is the extra $1700 worth the size increases?
If so, then the choice is an easy one!

I would stick to the 1.77. I was hoping to see your last contender turn, but in the static picture I don't love the look of the cut as much as the 1.77. I wondered if the photo was slightly off center but cannot tell if that is why it does not look as sharp and crispy. I would always (personally) choose a HPHT going forward.

I can’t see the last one but if Victor suggest it I would trust him. Go for that one for the size!

April does have a good point, ask him what he thinks and trust his opinion. This man has too much aesthetic drive for a bad diamond pick.

I agree, he picked all 3 of these so I am sure all 3 are great options.

I prefer the 2.17 due to the fatter arrows. Whether its worth the extra cost...only you can say. Its a big price difference.

Edit...I cant get the 2.06 to spin but I'm pretty sure I prefer the 2.17 or 1.77 over the 2.06.

Thanks
I pulled the trigger on the 1.77. Hopefully it’s ok and comparable to these.
