Not sure if I see what your saying - Do you mean those facets in general tend to look less crisp, and the on/off scintillation tends to suffer a bit in person OR that's the case for my specific diamond (diamond #1).

Are you Recommending Diamond #1 or #3?

Sorry for the confusion. I mean the facets in the areas with lack of contrast / incomplete arrows in general tend to look less crisp and the on/off scintillation tends to suffer a bit in the same areas, based on what I have seen in similar stones in person. I can't say for certain that it'll be the case for your specific diamond #1 as I haven't seen it in person. But again, I think this is an area where personal tolerances and preferences play a role.

FWIW I would not recommend either due to my own tolerances and preferences. I'm simply giving you information you are asking for, and hope you make the most informed decision that you can.

THIS.

It really boils down to PERSONAL preference, OP. So you were supposed to make a decision by your deadline (did you?), but it seems like you're still needing more assurance? So I suppose you haven't made your decision right?

Everyone has different tastes. I understand this is quite a purchase and you need to make the best decision, but it all really comes down to what YOU like for YOUR fiance; you've gone from 9 to 2 stones. That's a helluva job narrowing down stones! Your first post states you like #1, in real life, that stone is shrunken down to 6mm or whatever and you probably won't notice much of anything (probably) regarding the arrows.

No one can assure what YOU will see regarding the inclusion with the other stone. Luckily for you JA has a really good return policy. Buy one, walk around with it, see if you like it! If your eyes and heart haven't let you decide between the 9 to 6 to 4 to now 2 stones, then perhaps none are for you. I chose a GIA XXX over an AGS 000 for my fiance because something gravitated me to it in every picture I saw. You'll just know!

Re: *FINAL DECISION: Help me choose my Diamond (by 4pm Today

Your absolutely right - I spoke with JA staff this afternoon and they told me something which I don't know why I hadn't thought of earlier.

They said buy both!

Take a look at them for yourself. I'll be in the US for a few days so they said take a look at each in all sorts of lighting and pick whichever you like best and then ship the other one back for a complete refund.

So I did just that - i ordered both and can't wait to see them in person. I know I'll know which one is for her the minute I compare them!

Can't wait!

A BIG THANKS to everyone on here that helped, It's helpful people like yourselves that make the forum what it is!

That is the best case scenario! In fact, I did that 6 years ago when we were buying a new diamond for our anniversary. It really helps to be able to see two.

Great! I think you'll know when you see them in person for sure.

Isn't it funny when something so simple just hits you and you think... hey! Why didn't *I* think of that??? That's great, this will be able to put your concerns to rest and you'll be able to see for yourself, which one is THE ONE :))

That always seem to be the case when you have too much on your mind!

Your right though, I'm sure once I have both infront of me I'll know which one is mine.. or should I say hers!
