Ohhh....thank you @Matthews1127!!!! Indeed I love my marquise and I can't stop admiring it every time I wear it! My husband though said to me the other day: Hey, this thing is so big that it looks fake! Ha! He hasn't seen the diamonds that the other PS members are rocking!!!!

When DH & I were searching for my Holy Grail EC, that was one thing he was hoping to avoid (that the diamond would look fake). I actually have gotten dozens of compliments on it since he gave me my new diamond, and only one older woman questioned whether or not it was “real”.

My DH made that comment because we live in a European country, where the average weight of an engagement diamond is less that half a carat! So it's obvious that my stone would attract attention and make people suspect that it's not real. Nevertheless.... I don't care!!!! I only care about the way I feel when I look down at my hand and see all those mesmerizing flashes of sparkle and colors!!!

Thank you @cushioncutnut! He did a great job indeed! My big concern was to protect the sensitive pointy spots of the diamond and to keep it overall secure on the ring.
I also asked him for a setting that would allow my bands to sit flush next to it. I think that he scored on all accounts!

DD's gift was truly amazing and it made me fall in love with pearls... (as if my love for diamonds was not enough to break the bank and make us go bankrupt!)...

Hello @mrs-b! Thank you so much for the sweet words and your heartwarming wishes!
I have been wearing the new ring every day now and i realized that i feel a little uncomfortable, even though th setting is very secure, strong and sturdy. What are my concerns?
1. Even though the setting is made to protect the pointy edges of the stone, i will eventually hit it hard somewhere and fracture the diamond.
2. I will scratch myself or my kids with the ring.
3. I will lose the diamond (God knows how, but i'm capable of it, i know it!).
4....
5....

In general, i realize that i feel more comfortable wearing my original engagement ring every day and even that one is a little uncomfrotable because it's a three-stone and the side stones are sticking out. I'm afraid that growing older is making me feel and act a little crazy (i am not kidding or joking...).

As far as the pearls are concerned, i am in love with them! When i was younger i felt that the pearls are appropriate only for older ladies. Well, guess what! Now i am an older lady myself and i can enjoy them so much! I wear them very often at work (office, courtroom, etc) and i also wear them with my casual outfits. I feel that they suit everything that i wear and i have become very very fond of them!

Hello @Pomelo ! I took advantage of the excuse more than you can imagine! The exact date of my anniversary was yesterday and at the last moment i went and got myself a diamond five-stone ring in white gold, which I DIDN'T need AT ALL ! I haven't taken any good photos of it yet, but i will post one or two in a moment! I'm sure that DH is feeling very relieved that the anniversary saga is over for this year!!!

The bangle is a jadeite jade bracelet with an intricate clasp made of silver. It is a truly wonderful piece and so comfortable to wear. It also attracts a lot of positive attention and everybody asks about it all the time! I love it and wear it even when i sleep (maybe that's not a very wise practice but, oh, well...!).
