I’m not a pearl person but I admire their beauty and Im fascinated by manner in which this “gem” is created. I spotted on an auction site a lovely strand. It was the clasp that got me thinking, these might be natural pearls and these are the type I would love to own.
However I have no idea how you identify natural from cultured let alone from a photo but I’ve stuck my toe in (whole foot actually) and lodged a bid. Now to wait with fingers crossed if I’ll be the lucky new custodian of these beauties.
here‘s hoping......

How exciting. I bought a lovely strand on ebay years ago. The picture was obviously in someone's bedroom, the picture was dark and fuzzy....but the glow. It had that deep lustre. It was so fun.

You just never know.

The quality and age of the clasp is a pretty decent clue regarding pearl quality. Please update if you get the pearls.

I think natural (not cultured) pearls are rather rare but all pearls are beautiful :)
Good luck!
