My beloved 15 year old cattle dog mix passed away yesterday peacefully in his favorite spot in the grass in our backyard with the help of our vet. He had a very full life but was dealing with several health issues the last 6 months. He always wore a blue collar because it suited his calm demeanor. We would joke it was his power color.
I stumbled across a very beautiful blue zircon ring set in platinum surrounded by single cut diamonds. It immediately reminded me of my special boy. It’s supposedly an antique ring dating back to the 1910-20’s. The Zircon stone is in remarkable condition I can assume because it is protected by 4 fishtail prongs. There is obvious wear on the band so it was a preloved piece. I am wondering if the stone was re-polished however there is no obvious signs of this based on the condition of the prongs. The shades of blue are different between the collar and the stone so can’t explain why but knew it was meant to be.
I know PS’ers would possibly understand how a piece of jewelry could memorialize a beloved pet.
