Feedback on This Brilliant Earth Lab Diamond, Please!

It'll be sparkly, for sure. I think them labeling it super-ideal looks a bit optimistic, but sparkly it will be :)

Looks like a solid choice to me! The angles all fall in PS recommendations and it should lean firey with the combo of crown and pavilion angles.
Would you mind sharing some of the details for your current diamond and what about it bothers you? That would help us guide you in the right direction.

Thanks..so it is a round brilliant, with an E color, S1-1 clarity, and very good cut. It is a 1.50 carat. I don't have the original cert from EGL, but the appraisal states that the stone measures 7.36 x 7.18 x 4.57. No other specs regarding cut on appraisal. I just notice that it only sparkles under very bright LED light.

SI-1 clarity Diamonds really need to be evaluated with detailed pictures before purchase IMO. There are many SI-1’s that are reasonably eye clean (I had one!), but if the clarity is set by something like clouds you may not have the same transparency and sparkle as a higher clarity diamond.
Further, I don’t recall if EGL does a cut grade of ideal (I know IGI), very good cuts, well, aren’t very good and generally don’t have complimentary angles for good light return.

Yes, I think that is the issue..its a "very good" cut. It looks a bit dull, doesn't sparkle unless under major bright LED lights. Thanks for your feedback.

Also, I notice the depth on this stone is 61.9. I thought I read for a super ideal it shouldn't exceed 61.5? Or is that way too nit picky?

I think the general recommendation is under 62.3, or preferably under 62. A depth of 61.9 is not a problem at all.

My current diamond really does look very pretty in this photo. Not sure if anyone can tell by looking at it this way if there are inclusions or something with the cut that's off. Maybe I'm being too picky. My hands look horrendous... image000000 (2).jpg
