What are your thoughts on this ASET?

2.3 Princess, H VS1 from IDJ

To be honest, I rather like it! It's got a bit of leakage but that's the case with most princess cuts. I like the table size and the facet pattern. And I'm sure they're giving you a great price on it!

I think that the ASET is nice. I've seen better and I've seen worse. There is a lot of return in the centre which is good but there is also some leakage under the table and I would like to see more green at least around the edges myself. That said the stone is attractive to the eye and in a desirable large size. So the question is, is it well priced for what it is?

If you wanted to share your budget we could see what alternative we could find you.

The 2.3 H VS1 from IDJ is $21600, is that a good price?

I really like this Whiteflash diamond you suggested, is it a problem that it doesn't have a GIA cert?

it's not an issue. AGS is just as good or even better than GIA in terms of grading certificate when it comes to determining the cut of a diamond.

Ags is better than gia in my opinion. Ags grades the diamonds cut to so an ags certified diamond has a higher likelihood of being a top performer.

Personally, I like the one from IDJ better. The stone just looks more appealing to me. The one from WF has a comparable aset image, and I do think you're getting a good price from IDJ.

What's your budget and wish list banray? Is it all about size for the money or do you have a sweet spot?

Do you have the gia cert for the ijd stone? What's it's face up size?

Both stones are nice and fairly comparable, you get a bit more size with one, a higher color with the other, etc so it all depends on what you want.

Thanks for the reply. I'd say that the whiteflash 2.78 I SI1 is really pushing my budget. Let's say $23K on the top end of the budget.

I'd say the larger WF stone and the IDJ one are fairly comparable in terms of specs and ASETs. Both stones are attractive looking and would be nice for an ering I prefer the look of the WF slightly more but thats just my personal preference. If its over your budget tho then don't consider it. The IDJ stone is plenty big enough and leaves more money for a pretty setting.

What are your setting plans?

I'd put the ones you like on hold and request an aset and ask what JA is giving for a discount on them. I'd also check with the gemologist to make sure they're eye clean and ask about any other concerns you have.
