Favorite tv shows?

Me too, amc, and "oh, can't buy a house with that carpeting!" Or "Gasp! Bathroom is dated! We'd have to gut the whole thing." In our first house it was more like, shower works, bathtub ditto, sink ok, yup there's a toilet. Dated? It was there, wasn't it?

Another old show I like: original Bob Newhart show. I do not get the appeal of Two & A Half Men...the few minutes I watched once were FILTHY. I ain't no prude, but geeze, how funny is...well, I don't think I'd be allowed to say it here. Which tells you enough.

Number One: Castle
Love this show.
Except . . .
I'd like to see Beckett and Castle, just once, JUST ONCE, not go off half-cocked into a dangerous situation without backup.
Happens every episode.

Number Two: Downton Abbey
Gorgeous, well acted, and Maggie Smith is The Bomb.

Number Three: Nashville
This took me by surprise. Well done, and well sung.

Number Four: Dallas
Larry Hagman was an absolute treasure, and I can't see a long future for this show without him. He WAS Dallas.

Holly, I loved Dallas! I loved L. Hagman! He will be missed. My family and I use to kid and call each other Lil darlin! He was Dallas like you said! You loved and hated him all at the same time.

DH and I tend to down load entire series (multiple seasons) and work our way through episode by episode. We've done House, Burn Notice, Las Vegas, the Simpsons, Mike and Molly, Glee, and True Blood. Of those, my favorites are Burn Notice and True Blood. Though I got embarrassingly into Las Vegas as well.

I also have guilty pleasure shows, like Sister Wives and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

As far as comedies go, I like Two Broke Girls, Modern Family, and New Girl.

The other shows I like is actiony, sci fikinda stuff, like Fringe and Breaking Bad.

Of those, my favorites are Burn Notice and True Blood. Though I got embarrassingly into Las Vegas as well.

I also have guilty pleasure shows, like Sister Wives and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

My guilty pleasure what Housewives of BH!!!! I haven't seen the new season or last season yet. I also use to love to watch Dancing with the Stars.

I like Modern Family!!! I need to catch up on them; the last i saw was they went to Hawaii!

We don't subscribe to a t.v. provider, and I grew up without cable so I really never watched a lot of t.v. That doesn't mean I don't like it, though! We have some favorites on DVD: The Office, Arrested Development, 21 Jump Street (yes, Johnny Depp when he was just a wee lad), and my husband has Buck Rogers which I find hilarious.

Sometimes I find shows on Hulu. Recently I found a great one called Suburgatory. It's just a cute sitcom, but it has the guy who played Alton in Clueless as a starring character, and the first few episodes Alicia Silverstone played his love interest so it was like a mini Clueless reunion (I loved that movie, I brought it to the hospital with me and watched it when I was in labor!) Now his love interest is played by Cheryl Hines and she is just funny as hell!

When I want really mindless entertainment I watch one of the Real Housewives shows online. Such a guilty pleasure.

Does anyone watch soap operas anymore? Now those are funny! I watched one called Passions when I was in college because my roommate just loved it, and it was like a parody of a soap opera, so many crazy twists and storylines. It didn't last long, I think it went off the air a few years ago. My mom always watched Days of Our Lives.

Oh, and DF, I know why Three's Company is one of your favorites.

I love most of the shows on HGTV too, except for Love It or List It.

And I still watch the Office even though it isn't that great anymore. But I LOVED LOVED LOVED it when it was good.

I really don't know where I've been that I've never even heard of most of these shows - its not like I have an aversion to tv either! I guess I'm just watching the wrong boring shows when I watch

I forgot Big Bang Theory too! It's not my favorite but I do like it. DH actually started watching New Girl before I did but I love it now too.
