i agree they are both great but here's the issue:

1. i'm not buying the stone from BGD which sort of complicates the matter

2. it's at least a 3 week wait to have them alter and set

I like my Vatche 1514 Serenity Pave ring because it is dainty (makes the center CBI diamond "pop"), has 6 prongs (for safety, had a 2.05 ct D-VS2 oval set in 4 prongs fall to the floor after someone slammed a door on my hand), shows the pavilion and culet (for easy cleaning with Dishwashing soap and a toothbrush while standing at the kitchen sink, don't even need to remove my ring). From what I understand, the mounting is custom made for the center diamond. We also asked for the donut to be elongated (oval instead of round) so that the matching band could sit closer to the ring.
