I've inherited a lot of jewelery over the last few years. I love it all but this ring intrigues me I absolutely love it more than all the others I'm drawn to it but I know nothing about it apart from the date 1929. There may also be an Ireland connection but I'm not sure IMG_20200510_194818.jpg IMG_20200510_194756.jpg IMG_20200510_194235.jpg

Photos are a little hard to see the diamonds, but they look like rose cuts to me. Do you have clearer photos of the diamonds to see the faceting? The photos are a bit hard to see.

What markings do you see?

Looks like it has a yellow gold body, with a platinum top probably, which is not uncommon in that period.

You have some fairly good prong damage on the left side. I would not wear it without getting it checked and prong work done first. Is the accent stone at 9 p.m. missing?

The ring has very nice bones, but I would give it some tlc with a bench before wearing it.

I think they may be old single cuts. I have some that look like that...little pyramids with flat tops.

She could definitely use a trip to a good jeweler to spruce her up a bit. She’s lovely though!
