Cute330- We didn''t actually remove the panelling. The house is about 50 years old and we were concerned about the adhesive tearing chunks out of the sheetrock, so we purchased a thick, textured paper for the bottom half of the wall. The chair rail masks the difference in wall thickness. It really turned out nicely.
Mara- I am happy to help with interiors anytime. My degree is in interior design, and now that I do not work in that field, I am eager to help anyone. You let me know when and where.
