Ok, so I had some other jewellery I had collected over the years from estates etc, sold them recently and have been looking around for a 2ct diamond in the second hand market.

I just bought a 2.1ct cushion cut - I colour Si1-2 eyeclean range
so while its not a certed diamond with all the bells and whistles that i dream about - for now its my upgrade that I can drool over and wear with joy until *one day* i get my dream rock.

Im so excited I just cant hide it

That is wonderful! Since it is bought second hand I would strongly recommend a full appraisal by an independent appraiser (PS has a list somewhere under resources I think), and make the sale contingent on that!

I will be sure to post some pics when it arrives. Its going to be a loooong wait because it wont be due to arrive until after christmas with all those horrible public holidays that the post service wont be working lol. Just have to keep my cool until then..... Plenty to occupy me until then

Busy designing a ring for it to go in, with the I colour do you think legacy style with white gold head and yellow gold band would look ok? Depending on the diamond if I get it prong or bezel set. I just looooooove bezel set halos
