I think it depends on what karat rose gold you are looking at - and sometimes even from where as they do vary.
plus it really does depend on the specific brown in your stone. And what end result ‘look‘ you are aiming for - showcasing, minimizing or accenting?
I feel rose can make the brown turn rosy or it can emphasize yellow.
ive had a GIA K faint brown in 18k rose gold that sometimes looked rosy- but I felt in most lightings it emphasized yellow.
I also have a GIA VLPB that’s been in 18k rose. I’m now putting it in white.
depends on the exact shade of the stone (does it lean pinkish, orangish, yellowish, etc.), how well cut it is (the better the cut, the less the metal will impact how the stone looks), your color preferences (do you prefer a certain type of metal or think one looks better than the other with your skin tone).
I love the color of Tiffany 18 kt rose gold, it seemed to me less pink than 14 kt rose gold, does that seem right? but honestly that‘s the only 18 kt rose gold I’ve seen IRL.
I like this sleek semi bezel setting
Matter of taste. There is a good chance the faint brown could look yellowish in platinum which does not rock my world but other people like. I have a “doesn’t say brown on the report but looks brownish to me K color“ in rose gold and I love it.
faint brown stones in Rose gold can look more pinkish Highlighting the brown. Is it a round or fancy. Faint brown Fancies in rose gold tend to show more color.
