Face Mask recommendations?

Looks great! And I LOVE your hair.

Thanks, @missy Curly hair is so forgiving. I used to hate having curly hair and now I love it, LOL! It's so easy to look after and generally looks acceptable, so I rarely do anything but leave it in it's natural state.

Back on topic.

Do these masks still fog glasses? I have to wear them to see close and far. The surgical masks and bandana ones fogged them up pretty badly. I've been moving them up higher on my nose but still doesn't help. I've resorting to breathing shallowly and not as frequent when in the supermarket.

If you can get double sided first aid tape seal around the top of the mask...the air is going to find the path of least resistance and this seals off the path that fogs your glasses. :)

ETA- I didn't read far enough in the thread to see this was already mentioned.

I've been using an old R95 that my husband purchased years ago, probably while working with caustic chemicals for his hobbies. I sterilize it by popping it in the oven at 170 for 30 min.

My Etsy one came yesterday and it’s very well made.

VIDA sent out a very nice email explaining their backlog, so it will probably be another week or two for those to come.

Updates on Your Order
We’ve heard from many of you over the last few days and wanted to address your questions and concerns about the delivery schedule of the VIDA Masks. We know how important it is to have access to protective masks urgently and we really appreciate your direct and valid feedback.
Our masks are produced on-demand and while we launched with an expected delivery time of 9-15 days, we are currently experiencing delays and are running approximately 4-10 days behind schedule on fulfilling some orders from earlier this month.
We are committed to always being transparent and giving you real-time updates. We are currently working diligently to secure all orders, manage on-time production, clear import duties and customs without hold ups, and manage our warehouse 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, with multiple shifts, while ensuring the highest level of safety for our essential staff.
Additionally, over the last several days, we have implemented significant changes to our operations by adding 3 new factories to produce protective masks and 2 new warehouses to expedite shipments, and onboarding a new Customer Service team to help bridge the communication gap.
Please know that everyone from our leadership team especially our Founder/CEO and all our department leads are working around the clock to implement these operational transformations. We are all joining our Customer Service team to answer your questions, especially all questions around the use of VIDA Masks, the status of your orders, and order cancellations in case you change your mind.
We recently launched a new Live Order Tracker so you can track your order at any time using THIS link or by following the steps below.
  1. Visit shopvida.com
  2. Click on “Order Tracker” or on the top right corner of any page.
  3. Enter your email address and order ID to track your order status
Please note that you will also receive an email with your tracking number once your order has shipped. For all other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Don’t laugh but when I first saw this thread I instantly thought of mud face masks...like skin care products!

I finally got mine! I tried it on and it seems easier to breathe in, I'll wear it outside tomorrow.

Been meaning to say I LOVE this mask. I had been wearing a crappy disposable one that I hated because it made my glasses fog up and made me feel like I couldn't breath properly. This one is super comfortable and allows for decent airflow. Thanks @Nikki1415 for sharing about this one!

No problem, I'm happy to have helped!

I can't find any of the kn95 masks here. I'll look for more tomorrow. I may have to take the subway and Amtrak to philly since my dad is not doing well. Hopefully I'll be able to get some. If not, I have the surgical ones.

@dizzyakira, I am so sorry about your dad. I think I know where you are located... try Neergaard for the KN95 masks. Keeping your dad in my thoughts and praying he makes a full recovery.

Thank you @missy, I will try there.

Thank you @missy, I will try there.

Just remembered there is another store that carries the masks near us. Save on Fifth. Do you know it? It is near Neergaard and in fact across the street. So if Neergaard is out of the KN95 try SOF. Good luck.

@dizzyakira how is your father doing? Thinking of you and your family.

Thank you @missy. He passed yesterday. No one was allowed to visit or go near him. It feels so unreal. One minute he's there talking about new year (we celebrate in April) and so fast he's gone. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Dizzy, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
