for royal asschers....anyone have any advice?

thanks,

ron....

Be prepared to spend a lot of money. They have great stones, but I''d still see what GOG and WF can find for you. I''d rather not have you paying the premuim that Fabrikant will charge you. Just my 0.2. Good luck!!

I believe Fabrikant has the exclusivity to the "Royal"

But you can find plenty of identicall Diamonds on the market without the premium...

After all, you dont get a Blue Box when you purchase a Royal...

With the extra steps? I for one would like to know where. It is hard enough finding stones that fall within the %s that RA dictates much less get the extra steps

25%-40% mark up on RAs as opposed to the generics. I''ve spoken with them and this is from the rep I spoke with. They were very helpful though. Personally we are planning on going generic.

I suggest you take a long look at a RA and also at several other Asscher cuts before making up your mind. You can sometimes find a super generic stone, but occasionally the supply is tight on the best looking types. Learn to appreciate the special look and nature of the Asscher cut. Its a little like appreciating a better wine. Some people get it and others simply find they prefer jug wine.
No need to waste money on a specific brand if it doesn't make you feel it is truly special.

It really is a matter of YOUR OWN opinion, but you deserve to make an informed decsion if you can avoid being impulsive.

Happy Shopping!

35-40% has been my expireance

''oldminer'' (and everyone else)...i haven''t been impulsive. thank goodness...i''m still lookin'' on the ''net. i''ve had some frustration with the b/m''s. they really want you to get somethin'' they have on the spot. no asschers...i''m lookin'' with blue nile (more expensive), james allen, and gog. diamond brokers of florida do have Royal''s. but, all i''m lookin'' at are pics. i''d hate to have any of these folks (i don''t believe blue nile will let you ''call in'' anything) call in stones and send ''em to an appraiser of my choice for selection.

Old Miner...and anyone else...help...

thanks...ron.
